I'm a hunter and I help on the family ranch so I'm in the mountians all the time. The other day I think I came across something. It was a rock that was sticking out of the ground 2 1/2 feet it was 4"thick and 5" wide. Supposably the area is old Indian hunting grounds. any clues?

ruins along colorado river

Does anyone know about some ruins on the northside bend of the Colorado river, where the river turns south on the California and Arizona border? I came across an old map in a book that shows ancient ruins along the Colorado river and its tributaries. I am not sure what the area is called or what type of people built them, maybe Anasazi or Fremont.

Dollhouse near Blanding...

Has anybody been to the Dollhouse near Blanding???? That's what I was told it is called. The only free standing Anasazi ruin. It was quite a drive to get there and it was awsome. What else is around there???

Given the location, Southeast of Bicknell, Utah this is most probably attributed to the Ute Indians who inhabited that area. A friend told me about this so I had to go check it out, did it twice actually. It's up on a really steep hill across from the Egan fish hatchery. It was probably a ceremonial site, but that is a guess. It's a circle of rocks about 80 - 100 feet across with a partial circle inside of that one and is made of local lava rock measuring from about 18" at the...

I just saw a book at the bookstore regarding Kokopelli. This author believes he knows the real identity of Kokopelli.........guess who he thinks he is? Would you believe Moroni???? Has anyone ever heard of that comparison before???

Medicine wheel

While scouting for elk a couple of weeks ago I came across this. I believe it's a medicine wheel, similar to the Bighorn Medicine Wheel. This one is about 20' across and seemed to align with the compass directions. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
