It could also be Hopi or Zuni priests doing a corn dance, it's done to bring rain for a successful harvest. Looks like a reproduced glyph, laying in a flat tray scanner!

It is my three ex-wives banding together to install the objects in their hands in an unmentioned place belonging to someone I know.

Actually, they look like several sand paintings my parents have. Probably as recently manufactured too. My understanding is fertility and harvest. Why three? Refer to my first explanation.

If the new avatar comes through it is another .gif t from Workjay.

The petroglyphs in the image are images of "Yei"

The Yei are supernatural Holy People who communicate between the Navaho and their gods. They are usually shown carrying pine boughs, yucca strips and rattles in healing ceremonies. Each petroglyph is hand crafted reflecting images and messages inspired by the Ancient Ones. Native stones are carefully selected for each petroglyph with no two alike.

Just might add that the oldest intrepretation of the real rock art is possibly a representation of the women's purification ceremony where hyssop leaves or pine boughs were ritually used. :)

Have you seen any of the YEI depicted with square heads?
