Can you help me identify?

Post Number:#1  Postby EasternJacksonCo » Sat Oct 21, 2017 2:57 pm

I just registered on this forum today! And found this artifact today also! I have read artifact forums before & only found 3 points in my life (including this one). I would like to do much, much more hunting. Can anyone tell me if they know what this point is, and possibly how old, etc? I found this in the eastern utmost part of Wyondotte County in Kansas.

EasternJacksonCo,

Welcome to the Ancient Lost Treasures web forum!

I could not see the photo of your point to try identifying it.

There are numerous places to identify arrowhead points. Here are a few links to web based identification sites:

Kansas related links:

I found these web based sites with a simple search on Google. I used identifying arrowheads points to start with. Then I added kansas on the search to come up with the first 4 links that I have provided. You can fine tune your search by adding additional information in your search criteria. Of course you may want to do your own search as this is a short list and there may be many more which can help you in educating yourself about the topic of arrowhead point identification.

There are many other topics on the forum here as well. At the top of the page just below the title banner there is a search link to the forum as well for finding related topics which may include articles which may or may not be similar to your point. At any rate, you are bound to find many interesting articles related to finds made in the United States, so enjoy your time here on the forum. There are many topics to peruse here and we look forward to your input.
