Symbols and Signs Found In Oklahoma

Post Number:#1  Postby LOOT » Tue Apr 05, 2016 3:35 pm

I found these signs and symbols in oklahoma. There is a history of rough saloon towns within miles of this area. It is also near Indian Territory. I have already located a large can that had been shoved under a rock with the drill hole, but unfortunately it was empty. I would love to hear anyone's ideas on deciphering these symbols.

You are definitely asking too much. These markings are part of many things that make up a whole story. Imagine someone is looking for a book in a library & you say I have a clue as to that story. The clue is "here." Where would you begin to solve this puzzle? Does any of this make sense?

I would ask for a bit more information...

What are the names of towns in close proximity to these rocks?

What type of rocks are they? Sandstone? Limestone? (They appear to be limestone based on the photos, but sometimes lighting can mislead you.) Oklahoma has lots of sandstone, but judging from the photos (which appear to be limestone) would place the location just about anywhere except where the sandstone prevails. My guess (probably wrong) would be southwest corner of the state, but what do I know?

What are the names of some of the famous saloons in the area?

Do you have any additional information which may be helpful?

The markings show 1955 and 19 over 55. Could these be dates?

It could be as simple as two people trying to make their mark on the area with no real treasure involved.

Difficult to tell from the photos; however, these might have been part of a very old ceremonial site of some kind, perhaps sacrificial. I would assume the 1955 and initials were probably carved in 1955 so no real connection to the rest.

Ditto on the 55 & 1955 symbols. Have the same sentiment for the previous poster: usually These markings are highly coded & should remain a mystery a long time! They were intended to be read by a code maker, sometimes the King's man hired for this express purpose! Good luck with your adventure!
