Interactive Mummification Exhibit

Hello all! It has been quite some time since I have been here. I am currently working on another degree at the University. This one is a combined degree in Elementary & Special Education with a double concentration in History & Literature. Which brings me to the topic of this post. During my studies I created an Ancient Egyptian interactive mummification exhibit for Elementary students. A group of fellow students joined me and we created a 6 culture exhibit called "Ancient Civilization's Contributions to Science." We have been asked to do this at several schools and the Stem Science Exhibition here in Chicago. It has been very cool! For Egypt I have an entire set up and the students literally do an entire mini mummification. They are so fascinated! It is wonderful! They really get into it!
If a thing must be done, it must be done with grace.

Good for you! That is such an exceptional idea (especially being an interactive project). I have a masters in SPED too and understand the importance of visual, hands on learning for these kids. :~d
