Perhaps a horned owl or if you look at it length-wise seems to have the shape of a beetle or spider.

This sword looks modern to me. I don't see any type of patina at all.

I would guess that it is not an animal at all. It is probably a demon. My guess is that the sword itself is designed based on either an occultic themed game such as game of thrones or video.

I know of one custom knife maker who makes knifes and swords like the one showen. His name is Gill Hibben. He has made them for a lot of movies. He has had him self a name here in Sanpete County and Utah. He has been a member of the LDS church and also the RLDS church and the Hotel Utah.

:"} There is a tv program on one of the history channels by the name " Forged in Steel" that might give you some insite on sword making. BTW my sone the knife maker has a friend from Marysville, Utah has been on that show two times. Has lost out in the last round. I hope I can say look at JYOUNG knifes. He is one of top ten custom knifes makers.
