Great photos! These glyphs are definitely telling a story about something important to the carver. It would really be nice to be able to know just what it is.

Actually, I can think of another place, down by Moore, where the same phenomena occurred. Remember, we are seeing the inverse of the tracks. There is a chunk of rock on the ground that fell down and shows the imprints of the tracks.

The panel is South of Split Rock, just a bit. Maybe a 5 minute walk.

I'll work on the photos for the North side today, I think.

A ~new~ panel that I found after a bit more hiking.
There are a few other figures nearby, but these are the interesting part.

Another ~new~ panel that is close the main panels on the way to Josie's cabin. You definitely have to go looking for it, though.

Another ~new~ panel that is close to Elephant Toes.
I am a little surprised at not seeing it before, but it isn't in a great area for rock art.

Another panel that I knew about a few years back. These are definitely faded and a little hard to find. I'll have to check my photos, but I only counted 2 figures when I visited last time. Maybe they are multiplying. Anyway, these are obviously tied into the headhunters.

We're going to have to make a trip Paul!! Good photos. By the way, the latest things I've been reading claim the object held in their hands to be carrying fire instead of someones head!! What thinks ye?

I've heard people say that the people are carrying fire, or embers. But, some of the McConkie panels show eyes and other features. As such, I am still leaning towards heads. Likewise, I can't find any papers or such that talk about Indians (or Native Americans) carrying around embers like that. It would be interesting to ask Duncan or others about that.
